Fatal road traffic collision at Whites Cross junction on the 18/12/10

Gardaí at Blackrock are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Whites Cross junction on the N11 shortly after 4.30am this morning, Saturday 18th December 2010.

A 36 year old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car and he was taken by ambulance to St. Vincents Hospital.  He died there earlier this afternoon.

The road was closed (South Bound lane only) after the collision to facilitate a forensic collision but has since re-opened.
