Gardai investigating this morning's (18/12/10) crash on the N11 are appealing for witnesses to contact them. A 36 year old pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a Taxi.
Gardai would like anyone who was in the area of Whites Cross, which is the junction of the N11 and the Leopardstown Road and Newtownpark Avenue or anyone who has any information about the incident, to contact them at Blackrock Garda Station on 01 666 5200 or the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111.

Gardaí at Blackrock are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Whites Cross junction on the N11 shortly after 4.30am this morning, Saturday 18th December 2010.
A 36 year old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car and he was taken by ambulance to St. Vincents Hospital. He died there earlier this afternoon.
The road was closed (South Bound lane only) after the collision to facilitate a forensic collision but has since re-opened.
