As part of the ongoing operation to counter the cultivation of drugs (Operation Nitrogen), searches were carried out in Templeogue and Celbridge this morning (10th December) at approximately 8am.
These searches were carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit with assistance from Gardaí from Terenure and Kildare.
Cannabis with an estimated street value of €450,000 (subject to analysis) was seized as a result of the two searches, along with drug cultivation paraphernalia.
Two males in their 20's were arrested, and are being detained in Leixlip and Terenure Garda stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
