Gardai have seized a quantity of drugs in a planned operation at a house in a rural location close to Kilcock, Co. Kildare this afternoon the 9th December 2010.
Gardai from the drugs and detective units attached to Kildare Division, seized a quantity of cannabis herb and cocaine, which subject to analysis, may have a street value of €750,000. Gardai also seized a large quantity of mixing agents and other drugs paraphernalia. It is believed that the house was being used for the manufacture of drugs.
A man is his 30's was arrested and is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking)Act 1996 at Leixlip Garda Station.
The house in sealed off for a forensic examination and the operation in on-going.
