Gardai have named the man killed in this afternoons (30/08/2010) crash in Co. Mayo.
He is 61 year old Peter Meenan from Ballyhaunis, Co.Mayo.

Gardaí in Claremorris are investigating a fatal road traffic collision between a car and a van on the 30th August 2010.
It occurred between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on the main Claremorris to Ballyhaunis Road (N60) at the townland of Cuilmore.
The male driver in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger has been removed to Mayo General Hospital. The two people who were in the van were uninjured.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination, and diversions are in place.
