Gardai have named the man killed in a collision on the 23rd of April 2010, as 52 year old Kevin McInerney a pedestrian who was struck by a car on Annesley Bridge, Fairview, Dublin 3.
Mr. McInerney had been living in hostels in the Dublin area for the last ten years. It is believed that he was originally from the Roxboro area of Limerick City.

Gardai in Clontarf are investigating the circumstances of a serious road traffic collision in which a pedestrian was fatally injured on Friday, the 23rd April 2010.
The collision occurred at approx 23.55hrs on the 23rd April 2010 on Annesley Bridge Road, Fairview Dublin 3. A single car was involved in a collision with a male pedestrian (50 - 55 yrs). The injured man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The identity of the deceased is at this stage unknown and Gardai are eager to identify this man. His description is as follows 5’5’’ heavy build, short brown hair long at the back, pale complexion, round face, blue jeans, red tee shirt, black ¾ jacket. Had a tattoo of Irish flag with Eire underneath it on his right forearm.
The road was closed for a Forensic Collision examination and has since been re-opened. Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Gardai in Clontarf on 01 6664800.
