Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to now come forward and contact the Incident Room in Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.
Today, the 4th September 2009 in the 10th anniversary of Raonaid Murray’s death, Gardaí at Dun Laoghaire are renewing their appeal to members of the public for information that will help them progress the investigation.
Detective Superintendent Mulligan outlined the following:
Gardaí now know that at 12.07am on Saturday morning the 4th September 1999, a young man crossed over Silchester Road just after the walk-way known as ‘The Cut’ and continued on down towards Adelaide Road.
This young man is described as:
in his 20s with short black hair cropped at the sides, approximately 5’10” to 6’ in height, of slight build, fit looking and wearing dark coloured trousers (not jeans).
Gardaí are also appealing to a female who was in the vicinity of Silchester Park between 12.20am and 12.30am on Saturday morning the 4th September 1999 to come forward.
This female is described as:
being between 16 and 23 years of age, approximately 5’6”, with shoulder length dark hair and wearing trousers and a dark top.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to now come forward and contact the Incident Room in Dun Laoghaire on 01-6665032, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station. People can also provide information through Crimestoppers on a free phone line 1800 250 025 anonymously and confidentially. They may receive a reward.
