The 2009 International Law Enforcement Intellectual Property Crime Conference will take place in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin from September 29th to October 1st 2009. The event is being co-hosted by An Garda Síochána, Interpol and the Police Service of Northern Ireland and will incorporate operational workshops for both public and private sector Intellectual Property crime investigators.
The conference will focus on how public and private sector can fight against the increasing circulation of counterfeit goods in times of an economic world crisis.
The Garda Commissioner Mr Fachtna Murphy, The Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Mr Matt Baggot and the Secretary General of Interpol Mr. Ronald Noble will be present for the opening of the conference
The moderators for the conference will be U.S. District Court Judge Mr. Ronald S.W. Lew, and Assistant Commissioner of the National Support Services Mr Derek Byrne.
