Firearm recovered and arrest at Finglas, Dublin on the 12/9/09

Following a number of searches carried out today.

Following a number of searches carried out today, the 12/9/09, by Detective Gardai from Finglas Garda Station, a woman aged in her 20’s has been arrested.

Her arrest follows a search of a house this afternoon at Barnmore Crescent, Finglas, where a firearm (hand gun) and a quantity of ammunition were recovered.

The woman is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where she can be held for up to 72 hours.
