Anyone who may have been on or close to High Street between 12 mid-night and 6am on the 20/9/09 are asked to contact Gardaí.
Gardaí at Carlow are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 24 year old female at a house on High Street, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow, at 6am this morning, the 20/9/09.
The scene has been preserved and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.
The body of the deceased remains at scene.
A 31 year old man was arrested in Carlow Town and is presently detained at Carlow Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
