Serious Public Order incident which occurred at a car park attached to a Public House at Park West, Ballyfermot.
Gardai in Ballyfermot are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a serious Public Order incident which occurred at a car park attached to a Public House at Park West, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 on Sunday, the 27th September 2009 at approx. 01.50am hrs. As a result of the incident a male(38yrs) died at the Meath-Adelaide Hospital, Tallaght at 10.00hrs on the 27th Sept 2009.
Gardai are seeking the publics assistance and are in particular asking Taxi or Hackney drivers who may have picked up a fare or seen anything suspicious in the Park West area of Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 on the night of the 26th to 27th of September 2009 or who may have dropped any person to Hospital and/or to an address following this incident to contact the Garda Incident Room at Ballyfermot 01-666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

A man in his 40s has died in Tallaght Hospital following an incident at a bar in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin. The man had been taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a stab wound to the body.
The incident took place in the carpark of a pub off Park West Road in Dublin, at about 2.00 a.m.on the 27th of September 2009. Gardai had received a call to the area following reports of a large row. When Gardai arrived they found up to 20 people involved in the disturbance. Four men were arrested under the Public Order Act and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station. These men have been released and files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Medical attention was sought for two men at the scene and they were removed to Tallaght Hospital. One of these men was pronounced dead at about 10.00 a.m this morning. A post mortem examination is schedualed to take place later today. The second man is undergoing treatment at Tallaght Hospital.
