Gardaí in Thurles have this morning, the 27/10/09 arrested two males (one juvenile and one in his late teens) in relation to a serious assault which took place over the weekend. Both were arrested in the Thurles area.

Gardai in Thurles are investigating a serious assault that occured on Mitchell Street, Thurles outside a licenced premises at approximately 1.30 a.m. this morning the 25th October, 2009.
A 22 year old man was seriously assaulted and was removed to South Tipperary General Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
The scene is currently been preserved.
