Gardai are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information.
Gardai in Thurles are investigating a serious assault that occured on Mitchell Street, Thurles outside a licenced premises at approximately 1.30 a.m. this morning, the 25th October 2009.
A 22 year old man was seriously assaulted and was removed to South Tipperary General Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
The scene is currently been preserved.
