A significant quantity of cash in Euro and sterling currencies was seized.
In a joint operation targeting drug dealing in the Donegal Division, officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau together with local Gardaí carried out four searches in the Letterkenny area this morning, the 5/10/09.
A significant quantity of cash in Euro and sterling currencies (with a total combined value in excess of €200,000) was seized. Documents were also seized and these are currently being examined.
One man in his mid 40s was arrested and he is currently being held at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
No further information available at this time and no interviews will be facilitated.
