Gardaí in Sligo are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Dunalley Cross, Sligo (on the main Sligo to Manorhamilton Road - N16, approx 5km from Sligo town) at approximately 4.25pm this evening, the 22nd October 2009.
The collision involved a truck and a pedestrian. The pedestrian (56 yrs) was pronounced dead at the scene, and was removed to Sligo General Hospital.
The road remains closed pending a Forensic Scene examination and will remain closed until tomorrow morning.
