The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai in Salthill are investigating a hit and run traffic collision in which a 19 year old male pedestrian died. The collision occurred at approx 02.45hrs on the 4th October 2009 on the Moycullen to Barna Road near the Junction of Paddy’s cross.
The young man was pronounced dead at the scene at approx 04.19hrs and his body remains at the scene pending the arrival of the State pathologist.
The road is currently closed pending a Forensic scene examination, diversions are in place.
Two males have been arrested one 21 years and a minor, they are currently detained at Mill Street Garda Station.
