Fatal road traffic collision on the N52 near Clonfad in Westmeath on the 5/11/09

The collision between two cars resulted in the death of a woman at the scene.

Garda are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the 5th of November 2009 at 11.15 a.m., on the N52 between Mullingar and Tyrellspass near Clonfad in Co.Westmeath.

The collision between two cars resulted in the death of a woman at the scene (no age available).  A man was also removed to Mullingar General Hospital, with what are described as serious injuries.

The road at the scene or the crash remains closed pending examination of the area by forensic collision investigators.
