Operation "Phoenix" – Arrests and court appearance

Garda investigation into money laundering.

 

As part of Operation Phoenix – the Garda investigation into money laundering, following the Northern Bank robbery in Belfast in December 2004, Gardai in Cork have arrested two men (62yrs & 40yrs) in Cork City  yesterday (11/5/09)

Both men will appear before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin this morning - Tuesday 12th May 2009 at 11am.
