Fatal road traffic collision on the R401 - Edenderry to Kinnegad Road on the 28/5/09

Single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the R401 at Carrick Road.

 

Gardaí at Edenderry are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred shortly before 3pm this afternoon, the 28/5/09 on the R401 at Carrick Road.

The R401 is the Edenderry to Kinnegad Road.

A 23 year old male motorcyclist was fatally injured when the bike he was riding left the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Tullamore General Hospital.

The road was closed at the time for a forensic collision investigation but has since re-opened.
