Gardai at Ballyconnell are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N3 south of Belturbet at approximately 3.45pm yesterday, the 30/4/09.
A 78 year old male was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and no one else was injured.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Navan General Hospital.
Gardai wish to appeal to anyone who was travelling on this road between 3.30pm and 4pm yesterday evening, the 30/4/09 to contact the Gardai at Ballconnell 049 – 9525580 or the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111.
