Gardai at Askeaton are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N20, Cork to Limerick Road on the Cork side of Patrickswell, shortly after 2am this morning, the 5/5/09.
A male in his late 30's was fatally injured when the car he was driving lost control and collided with a roadside post. He was taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital Limerick where he was pronounced dead.
There were 2 passengers, one male and one female, who were taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital Limerick with injuries described as not life threatening.
