Firearm recovered in Dublin on the 14/3/09.

Gardai from Kevin Street Garda station have recovered what they believe to be a firearm and a small amount of ammunition.

 

Gardai from Kevin Street Garda station have recovered what they believe to be a firearm and a small amount of ammunition during a planned search near St Teresa's Gardens in Dublin 8.

The 9mm pistol and ammunition were found, at about 1 p.m. on the 14th of March 2009 on waste ground, by Gardai searching in the area.

The gun has been sent to the ballistics section at the Garda Technical Bureau in Garda Headquartersfor forensic testing.
