An extensive search of the Bantry area currently underway led by Gardai, assisted by the Civil Defence and members of the public.
Gardai in Bantry are seeking the publics’ assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 41 year old Brendan McCarthy missing from a nursing home in Bantry, Co Cork.
Brendan was last seen on the 29th of June 2009 at approximately 8.30pm near Dromleigh.
He is described as 5’ 10” in height, and weighs approximately 12 stone. He is of medium build, and has short, receding dark hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark grey jumper and dark jeans.
Brendan has a prosthetic left arm, and currently has stitches in a wound over his right eye.
