Seizure of controlled substance in Loughrea,Co.Galway estimated value €1.1million.
Two men in their 30s, will appear at a special sitting of Galway District Court at 4.00 p.m on the 13th of June 2009, charged in relation to yesterdays drug seizure near Loughrea.

As a result of an ongoing operation in the Galway area, Gardaí and Customs today (Friday 12th June 2009) carried out a search of a house in Loughrea at approximately 2pm.
As a result of this search, an estimated €1.1million (subject to analysis) of controlled cannabis resin and herb was seized. Two males were arrested and are currently detained in Galway (Mill St.) Garda station under Section 2 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
