Serious aaault on Parnell Street, Dublin on the 3/7/09

The culprit is described as being in his late 20's with a very tight haircut. He is believed to be approximately 6' to 6'2''.

 

Gardaí at Fitzgibbon Street are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Parnell Street at approximately 3.45pm this afternoon, the 3rd July 2009.

 

A 31 year old man was involved in an altercation with another man which resulted in him receiving a stab wound.

 

He has been taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as being serious.

 

The culprit is described as being in his late 20's with a very tight haircut.  He has a pale complexion and is clean shaven.  He is believed to be approximately 6' to 6' 2'' in height.

 

His clothing at the time of the incident was a white/light coloured top and white/beige coloured knee length shorts.

 

He ran in the  Marlboro Street/Summerhill direction.

 

A portion of the road was closed for a time but has since re-opened resulting in normal traffic movement being resumed.  The scene on the footpath continues to be preserved.
