Gardai at Galway investigating the murder of Kieran Cunningham on the 3rd of June 2009 have this evening, the 27/7/09 arrested a 27 year old male in the Dublin area in connection with this incident.
He is currently detained at Galway Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardai at Galway are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a seriously injured man at Williamsgate Street, Galway at approximately 2.20am this morning, the 3/6/09. The man appeared to have serious stab wounds.
The 20 year old was taken by Gardai to UCHG where he was pronounced dead at 3am.
The scene at Williamsgate St has been sealed off pending a full Garda technical examination, the State Pathologist has been notified.
