Gardaí at Store Street are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a body that was discovered in the River Liffey at Custom House Quay on 14th May 2009.
A post mortem was carried out by Deputy State Pathologist Dr. Michael Curtis on Tuesday, 19th May, 2009, which determined that the body had been in the river for upwards of 6 months.
As all other avenues of attempting to identify this body have failed we are now appealing to the public for assistance.
So far we have established that the body was that of a male with an approximate height of between 5' 8'' and 5' 9'' tall.
His approximate age would have been 45 years.
He was clothed in a brown hoodie with 'Everlast' printed on the back in blue colour, a black leather belt with 'Levi' on the buckle. a pair of 'Hoi Polloi' jeans, navy 'Lacoste' tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe under the jeans and white 'Y-3' runners.
