The World Rally Championship will take place from 29/1/09 - 1/2/09 in Counties Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Roscommon and Donegal.
The World Rally Championship will take place from January 29th to February 1st 2009. The event will take place in Counties Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Roscommon and Donegal.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to plan their journey in advance.
Traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place in Sligo town from Wednesday, 29th January 2009 including the following:
· Duck Street/Ash Lane will be controlled as required by Gardaí from 6am to 8pm commencing Wednesday, 28th January 2009. No parking on this road.
· Clarion Road will be closed from 6am Thursday, 29th January to 1st February 2009.
The Gardaí request the public to:
· Show courtesy to local residents during the staging of the WRC.
· Drive carefully in accordance with Road Traffic Laws.
· Follow directions given by Gardaí.
· Do not leave valuable items in vehicles and be vigilant with personal belongings.
