Seizure of firearm and arrests in Finglas, Dublin on the 15/1/09.

As a result of an ongoing operation in Finglas a car was stopped on Cappagh Road on Thursday the 15th January.

 

As a result of an ongoing operation in Finglas a car was stopped on Cappagh Road at approximately 19.50hrs on Thursday the 15th January.

Two males were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, and a firearm (shotgun)was recovered. The males (aged 30 and 27) are currently being detained in Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda Stations.
