Gardai at Kildare are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R445 – Monasterevin to Kildare Road, shortly before 8pm this evening, the 19.01.09.
Gardai at Kildare are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R445 – Monasterevin to Kildare Road, shortly before 8pm this evening, the 19.01.09.
A 22 year old male was fatally injured when the car he was driving was in collision with a second vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the second vehicle was seriously injured and taken to the Midland Regional Hospital at Portlaoise. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The road is currently closed and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene.
