As a result of a call to our control centre, Gardaí from Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda Stations went to Raleigh Square, Crumlin.
As a result of a call to our Control Centre, Gardaí from Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda Stations went to Raleigh Square, Crumlin, Dublin 12 as it was stated that there was a bomb.
On arrival at scene a device was discovered under a motorcar parked outside a house.
The area was cordoned off and householders within the cordon were cautioned to leave their homes.
The services of the Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team were requested and when they arrived they carried out a controlled explosion on the device.
It was then removed to Cathal Brugha Barracks where upon further examination it was established to be a viable device.
Investigations are ongoing.
