- Bernadette Cunningham, Clogue, Newry, Co. Down was fatally injured on the 13.02.09 near Dundalk.
- James Fleming, Borris, Co. Carlow was fatally injured on the 15.02.09 in Co. Laois.

Gardaí in Dundalk are investigating a single vehicle Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred on the 13.02.09 shortly before 10pm at Dromad, on the old Dundalk to Newry Road.
A female in her late 40s was fatally injured when the car she was driving lost control and left the road colliding with a sign post. There were no other passengers in the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to Louth County Hospital Dundalk.
The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road is open.
Gardaí at Dundalk wish to appeal for witnesses who may have travelled this road between 9.40pm and 10pm last night and who may be able to assist them with their enquiries, to contact them at 042-9388400.

Gardaí at Portlaoise are investigating a two vehicle Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred on the Stradbally to Carlow Rd (N80) on the 15.02.09 at approximately 9.45am.
A car was in collision with a motor cycle resulting in the 38 year old motorcycle driver being fatally injured. He was taken to Portlaoise Hospital where he was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon. There were no other passangers in / on either vehicle.
The accident scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardai at Portlaoise wish to appeal to any member of the public that may have been travelling on this stretch of road between 9.30am and 10am yesterday morning and that may have witnessed this incident to contact them at 057-8674100.
