Fatal traffic collision at Thurles, Tipperary on the 20/12/09

Gardai at Thurles, Co. Tipperary are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occured at Ballycurrane Thurles at 11.50 a.m. today Sunday, 20th December, 2009.

A 26 year old male driver, sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.  His body has been removed from the scene.

The road remains closed pending a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.  Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504.25100, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
