Gardai at Monaghan are investigation a fatal road traffic collision that occured near Emyvale, Co. Monaghan at approximately 5.20pm an Saturday, the 12/12/09.
A car collided with an 80 year old male pedestrian resulting in the pedestrian being fatally injured. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at scene and removed to Monaghan General Hospital. The female drivers of the car was not injured.
The road, a minor road in the townland of Davagh, is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
