Gardai at Blanchardstown are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Castlecurragh Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 at approximately 9.20am, this morning, 12th December 2009.
The collision involved a car and a van. Both male drivers who were in their 20’s and the only occupants of the vehicles were taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where the driver of the car was pronounced dead. The driver of the van is described as being in a serious condition.
The scene was closed for a Garda technical examination, this has now been completed and the road has reopened.
