Fatal road traffic collision at Ardfert, Kerry on the 24/12/09

Gardai in Tralee, Co. Kerry are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Ardfert, at approximately 3.40pm this afternoon (24/12/09)

A male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a lorry in Ardfert Village. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

His body has been removed to Tralee General Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

 

The road remains closed pending a forensic collision examination.
