As part of the ongoing operation targeting organised crime in the Lenster region gardai have seized drugs with an estimated value of up to €900,000, subject to analysis, and arrested a male.
Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit and the Garda National Drug Unit, supported by local gardai searched a house outside Clara, Co.Offaly this morning and seized between 80 and 90 kgs of what is believed to Cannabis Herb and Resin, subject to analysis.
A 56 year old male was also arrested at scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996 at Tullamore Garda Station.
