A male occupant of the car was killed. Another male occupant was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Gardaí at Wicklow are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision that happened on the N11 at Ballinacor East shortly after 2.30am this morning, the 23/8/09.
The driver of a car lost control and hit a telephone pole.
A 16 year old male occupant of the car was killed. Another male occupant (20 years old) was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. They are believed to have been the only 2 occupants.
The road remains closed at present to facilitate a forensic collision examination.
