Drug seizure and arrests at Santry Avenue, Dublin on the 15/8/09

Cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 was seized.

Gardaí from Whitehall Garda Station have seized cocaine (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €70,000 at Santry Avenue, Dublin 9 on the 15th August 2009 at approx. 9pm.

Two males (22 and 19 years) were arrested and conveyed to Ballymun Garda Station where they were detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Both males were charged and will appear at Blanchardstown District Court on the 7th September 2009 at 10.30am
