Gardai at Rathfarnham Garda station are seek witnesses to an incident on Ballycullen Drive, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, between 1.30 a.m. and 2.30 a.m. on Thursday, the 30th of April.
A 24 year old moped driver was found lying on the road by the driver of another car at about 2.10a.m. His green, blue and grey moped with a 02 registration, was found nearby.
The injured man does not appear to have been wearing a motorcycle helmet.
The injured man was taken to Tallaght Hospital were he is in a critical condition.
Garda are asking anyone with information, particularly anyone who may have seen the moped and driver prior to the crash, to contact them at Rathfarnham Garda station on 01 666 6500.
