Gardai investigating the death of Matthew Farrell in Daingain on 1st April 2009 arrested a man on the 9th April, 2009.
The first man arrested in relation to this investigation has been released without charge from Garda Custody.
A file will be prepared for The Director of Public Prosecutions with regards his detention.
The second man arrested remains in custody.

Gardaí investigating the death of Matthew Farrell have arrested a second man in connection with the investigation.
This man is in his 20's and is currently detained at Tullamore Garda station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
The man who was arrested on Thursday 9th April 2009 remains in custody at Tullamore.

The man is being detained in Tullamore Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
