Gardai have seized 100 kilograms of what is believed to be cannabis resin and arrested 2 men following an operation on the M1 Motorway near Swords, Co. Dublin.
Gardai have seized 100 kilograms of what is believed to be cannabis resin and arrested 2 men aged 24 and 31, following an operation on the M1 Motorway near Swords, Co. Dublin on the 7th April 2009.
The operation was carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit.
At approximately 5.00pm 2 cars were stopped on the M1 near Swords.
A search of one of the vehicles uncovered boxes containing the resin, which (subject to analysis) has a street value of €700,000.
The arrested men are detained at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act. They can be detained for up to seven days.
