Gardaí in Store Street have arrested four men in relation to an attempted robbery which occurred on a security van at a post office on Church Road, East Wall, Dublin.
Gardaí in Store Street have arrested four men in relation to an attempted robbery which occurred on a security van at a post office on Church Road, East Wall, Dublin 3 at approximately 9.20 am today, the 8th April 2009.
A masked raider entered the post office armed with a firearm, threatened staff and demanded money. He fled the scene without any money.
It is believed a shot was fired during the incident.
One of the security staff received a minor injury during the incident
The four men (all in their 20s) were arrested on Jones Road, Dublin 3 at approximately 12pm today, 8th April 2009.
They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in Store Street and Mountjoy Garda stations.
Gardaí are currently conducting following up searches in the area.
