Gardai in Cork city are investigating a shooting incident in the Knocknaheeney area of the city.
At 21.10 on the 28th of September a male in his 30's was seriously injured when he was shot at a house at Kilmore Road. A least two shots were fired through a front downstairs window hitting the man in the body. The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described stable.
Witnesses report seeing a male wearing dark clothing leaving the scene in a large green car, possibly a Mercedes.
