Gardai at Ronanstown are investigation the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in the Woodavens area of Clondalkin, at approximately 11.50pm last night 9th September 2008.
A man in his 20s was shot a number of times in the front garden of the house at Woodavens. Medical attention was provided at the scene and a short time later the man was pronounced dead. The body remains at the scene, pending removal to the city morgue.
A full Garda technical examination will take place this morning. Gardai are appealing to anybody with information particularly those in the local community to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01-6667700 or the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111.
