A four year old male pedestrian was hospitalised at Cork University Hospital following the collision involving a truck. He had been playing on his skateboard at the time. He was pronounced dead shortly after 2.00am this morning.
He is named as Kelvin Purcell of Ardcullen, Hollyhill, Co.Cork.
