Collision location & date - Galbally, Limerick, 060908. Deceased - James Kinsella, Garryspillane, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick - aged 56 years. 2. Collision location & date - Abbeylara, Co. Longford 080908. Deceased - Patrick Masterson, Castletown, Finea, Co. Westmeath. - aged 40 years. 3. Collision location & date - Terenure, Dublin 6W, 080908. Deceased - Mary Lewis, Church Gardens, Rathmines, Dublin 6 - aged 82 years.

Gardai in Granard are investigating a single vehicle collision which occurred on the R 396 between Abbeylara and Coole, Co. Longford at approximately 3am this morning (8/9/08).
A 40 year old man was fatally injured when the car he was driving was in collision with a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for a Garda technical examination and has since reopeded.
Gardai are appealing for any member of the public that may have traveled this road between 3am and 3.30am and who may have information that would assist the investigation, to contact the Gardai at Granard on 043-87660.
