Gardai at Abbeyleix wish to advise the public that the N7 at Mountrath will be closed for essential road works for four days from Monday the 6th of October 2008 to Thursday the 9th of October 2008 from 7am to 6pm each day.
A diversion will operate for all traffic from the N7 (Limerick - Dublin) road at Derrin Cross, Borris-in-Ossory, on the R434 through Ballacolla to Durrow onto the N8 (Dublin - Cork Road) through Abbeyleix back to the M7 (Portlaoise By-Pass) and onto Dublin.
Gardai will be on point duty along the diversion route but motorists are asked to find alternative routes as delays are expected. In addition to the added distance is expected to add in the region of an extra hour to journey times.
