Gardai in Fitzgibbon Street are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 10.50 pm on Saturday 18th October 2008, at Parnell Square, Dublin.
Two males were injured in the collision when the bicycle on which they were travelling was involved in a collision with a car. The two males (both of whom were aged 16 years) were brought to the Mater Hospital following the collision. One of them was subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital and was pronounced dead this evening - Monday 20th October 2008. The other 16 year old's injuries are not thought to be life threatening and the driver of the car was uninjured.
