Drugs and firearms seized after call for assistance from the D.S.P.C.A.
Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3.30pm Gardaí at Tallaght responded to a call for assistance from the D.S.P.C.A. who were dealing with a call regarding animals being treated cruelly at a premises in Mount Seskin, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
On arrival at scene Gardaí searched the outhouses and general area where the animals were being kept and recovered:
- 10,000 ecstasy tablets (potential street value €100,000),
- Half Kilo Cocaine (potential street value €35,000),
- Four and a half kilo's of cannabis resin (potential street value €30,000)
- Assorted drug paraphernalia including pneumatic press, weighing scales and a generator,
- A gas operated air pistol with several hundred steel ball bearings and
- A computer hard drive.
All drug seizures and values are subject to forensic analysis.
The D.S.P.C.A. also seized 35 dogs including English Bull terriers, German Shepherds, an American Bull Dog and a Doberman.
No arrests have been made to date and investigations are continuing.
